Bass & Flinders Distillery was established in 2009 on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, driven by a spirit of exploration and a commitment to crafting exceptional artisanal gins, brandies, and liqueurs that authentically embody the region’s character and heritage.

Pioneering the distillery scene on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, they drew initial inspiration from the rich tradition of French brandy production. Employing time-honored techniques, they embarked on a mission to create a distinguished aged spirit known as Ochre brandy, showcasing the immense quality achievable in Australian brandy.

In 2016, Holly assumed the roles of Head Distiller and Managing Director, succeeding her father, Wayne, and joining the esteemed ranks of second-generation distillers in Australia. Under her leadership, the distillery has continued to flourish.

Relocating in late 2018 from their original home in Red Hill to 40 Collins Road in Dromana, they responded to the growing demand for locally crafted premium spirits. This move exemplifies the unwavering dedication to the art of distilling and underscores their deep connection to the captivating Mornington Peninsula.
