JimmyRum Distillery is handcrafted run on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Rum is not the most popular spirit in Australia but a visit here will quickly have you changing your mind on Rum.
JimmyRum are on a mission to show you what rum can be with their Australian crafted distinctive and delicious rums. They think rum has been misunderstood for far too long and want to share with you how diverse, unique, and exciting rum can be.
They use Australian grown and owned sugarcane juice and molasses, which we then ferment and distil in their stunning Italian still, Matilda, then the ageing process occurs in new and ex-bourbon American Oak barrels.
The distillery is open seven days a week for tastings and the bar and restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday serving a full range of rum & cane spirits, and their freshly made and ever-changing premium rum cocktails.
You can graze on the all day “RumFish” menu serving up fresh, seasonal local seafood and all your favourite “all-day” classics. From oysters to mussels and a king prawn Po Boy the kitchen brings a wide array of options, if you are in a group be sure to per order the “Big Share” you wont be disappointed.
The entertainment is lined up all weekend long kicking off on Thursdays with Trivia Night through to the classic Sunday Session. Sit down and relax in the beautiful, child and dog friendly rum garden or sit in the cosy bar atmosphere with the barrel wall backdrop.
As always we recommend booking a table, as it can get busy in tourist season. Reservations are available inside the working distillery and cocktail bar, or outside in the rum garden.
