Loch Brewery & Distillery
Loch Brewery & Distillery is housed in a beautiful, 100-year-old red brick former bank in the sunny South Gippsland town of Loch.
Loch owners Craig Johnson and Mel Davies spend their days creating delicious whisky, white spirits, and hand-brewed natural ales. There are not many locations in Victoria where you can pull up a seat at the bar and choose between Beers and Spirits all made on location.
The core range of Gins are the the DRY GIN which is a classic ‘London Dry’ style gin, THE WEAVER which is a big Gin made using Australian native botanicals and the GIN LIQUEUR a gin designed to drink neat.
Loch Brewery & Distillery also produce a number of single malt whiskies, each release is unique. They distil their core drinking beer malt profiles into three distinct malt spirits, each malt spirit is then aged in different cask finishes, which ensures each batch of Loch Single Malt Whisky will be individual from the next.
While we are all about the spirits we must quickly speak to the brewing side of the Loch business. Currently Loch are producing three core beers, Best Bitter, County Ale and Dark Ale, each of which is based on classic sessional British ales.
